As we continue our journey through the school year, we want to take a moment to recap our Code of Conduct expectations and consequences. Maintaining a positive and respectful environment is essential for our students' success, and your support is crucial in this effort.
1. Academic Dishonesty:
Integrity is a cornerstone of our educational values. We expect all students to complete their work honestly and to respect the intellectual property of others. Cheating, plagiarism, and any form of academic dishonesty, including using Artificial Intelligence, undermine our learning community and will result in serious consequences including, but not limited to, a zero on the assignment, detention, or suspension.
2. Inappropriate Language:
We promote a respectful and inclusive atmosphere at our school. Students are expected to use language that reflects this commitment. Inappropriate or offensive language, including profanity or derogatory remarks, will not be tolerated and will lead to disciplinary action such as detention or suspension. (even if your student thinks it's a joke, we have to take it seriously)
3. Bullying:
Bullying in any form—physical, verbal, or cyber—is unacceptable. Our school is dedicated to creating a safe space for all students. We encourage you to talk with your child about the importance of kindness and empathy. If your child experiences or witnesses bullying, please report it immediately so we can address it effectively. (even if your student thinks it's a joke, we have to take it seriously)
4. Tardiness:
Being on time is fundamental to ensuring that all students optimize their instructional time in the classroom. Students are expected to arrive at class on time and be seated and ready to learn when the bell rings. Chronic tardiness can have serious repercussions, not only for the individual but also for the overall integrity of our school environment.
